The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) invested $5.5 million in a project to digitize historical collections at the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College Community Library in Wisconsin. The project focuses on community newspapers, which are important primary sources for documenting the tribe's history. The digitized collections will include newspapers, scrapbooks, yearbooks, and newsletters. The library will also work with a local history group to offer workshops and encourage sharing of stories on the library website.-Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University Community Library
