Materials Donations
Books, Audio Books, CDs, and DVDs
You can recycle gently used books, audio books, CDs, and DVDs by donating them to the Iron River Public Library. Depending on their age, condition, and the current demand for them, donations will either be added to our collection or included in Friends of the Library book-sales, which help generate funds for the library. All donations to the Iron River Public Library are tax deductible, so please ask for a receipt upon bringing them to the service counter. You may also make donations anonymously by placing them in the outdoor book-drop with a brief note indicating that they are a donation. Please do NOT donate items with missing covers or water, dirt, or mold damage. We no longer accept VHS cassette, or record donations. Please sort all donations prior to bringing them to the library to remove unacceptable items. If you have any items you are not sure about, please ask the library director before bringing them to the library.
